Also known as Cape gooseberries or Inca berries, they have a distinctive tart yet mildly sweet flavour that combines citrus, pineapple and sultana-like notes with a soft, lightly crunchy dried-fruit texture.

The berries are sourced from small-scale farmers in tropical Peru and dried without sulphur dioxide, added preservatives or colour enhancers.
